The Ministry of Education wishes to salute all Bermuda School Teachers for World Teacher’s Day (observed 5 October, 2019).
Minister of Education, the Hon. Diallo Rabain said, “I wish to personally salute all of our teachers for World Teacher’s Day – a day set aside to celebrate this most noble of professions.”
“As our world continues to change and transform, it is our teachers who are tasked with preparing young minds for what is to come, bring new insights that can help to shape education, and breathe new life into the way that our students are taught.”
The Minister continued, “As I have toured schools since the start of the new school year, I have had the privilege of speaking to many of our teachers. I thank them for their time, efforts, passion, dedication, and I look forward to their contributions and influence on our students.”
“To all Bermuda teachers, whether new or seasoned, I thank you. Our children rely on you to help them achieve their goals, and as a parent it is not lost on me the responsibility and trust we place in you. You are all a significant part of Bermuda’s success. Thank you for creating the foundation for our children’s future aspirations. Thank you for being more than a teacher, but for being someone who touches many lives that will go on to make a difference in our community and around the world.”
