The Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, MP, today shared his excitement ahead of the much-anticipated Bermuda Day Parade, which will take place this Friday, May 22.
Minister Darrell said, “This year’s Heritage Month theme, ‘For The Culture’, encourages us to reflect on our traditions and the future we are building together. The Bermuda Day Parade continues to bring the community together, and I’m pleased to see the level of participation and support for this year’s event.”
Minister Darrell also highlighted the importance of the Bermuda Day Fund in supporting the event, adding, “Through our partnership with the Bermuda Foundation, we continue to provide financial support to help ensure accessibility and inclusion for those who wish to participate.”
And he encouraged the public to continue donating via www.GiveBermuda.org, noting that contributions are accepted year-round.
The Bermuda Day Parade will be carried live starting at 1:15 p.m. Friday, May 22, and can be viewed on channels 2, 3, and 102, CITV's YouTube Channel, The Bermuda Government's Facebook page and www2.gov.bm.
