
Earlier today (Oct. 17), HRH the Duchess of Gloucester visited the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, where she was warmly welcomed by staff and dignitaries.
The Duchess of Gloucester's visit to Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy was part of her ongoing commitment to supporting inclusive education and to learning more about the school’s compassionate approach to teaching students with exceptionalities.
Joined by the Minister of Education, Sen. the Hon. Crystal Caesar, the tour was led by Principal Margaret Phillips-Astwood, Deputy Principal Joy Todd, and Social Worker Julie Lynn. The school's leadership team shared the school’s vision and commitment to student development. Accompanying HRH today was His Excellency Governor Andrew Murdoch, CMG.
The public will be aware that the Duchess of Gloucester arrived in Bermuda on Thursday, and as part of her official visit, will participate in Saturday's Trooping of The Colours. HRH will review the marching soldiers, witness the Troop, and present operational service medals during the ceremony in Dockyard.
