"Just last week, on Monday, September 12th, 2022, we celebrated a new chapter in Education Reform as we welcomed the first cohort of young people into Signature Schools to undertake Signature Learning Programmes." said the Minister of Education, the Hon. Diallo Rabain, JP, MP.
"A total of 289 incoming S1 students were 'clapped in' as they entered The Berkeley Institute and CedarBridge Academy to undertake studies in Health and Social Care, Financial and Insurance Services, STEM, and Trades and Professions."

The Berkeley Institute
· Health and Social Care: General Health and Social Care, Holistic and Allied Health Services, Medical Sciences and Services, Social Sciences and Services
· Financial and Insurance Services: Accountancy, Banking, and Financial Services, Business Administration and Management, FinTech, and Insurance
CedarBridge Academy
· STEM: Animal/Vet Sciences, Computer Science, Creative Technologies, Engineering, and Environmental Sciences
· Trades and Professions: Automotives, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Electrical, Horticulture, Textiles, and Design
"In celebration of this new chapter in learning, the hallways were lined by students, educators, school leaders, team members at the Ministry and Department of Education, Learning First, and community partners as they clapped in support of incoming students."
Minister Rabain added, "Bermuda, this is the change you have been asking for. Learning that is personalised, flexible, relevant, future-focused, inspiring, and authentically Bermudian."
"This change has been built by us, for us through engagement with teachers, students, parents, and business and community leaders."
"Such learning will create a generation of young people who are engaged, adaptive, entrepreneurial, innovative, culturally connected, and empowered."
Minister Rabain concluded, "These attributes will enable our young people to be creators of the jobs of the future. To be active citizens and tackle increasingly complex challenges."
"We look forward to continuing the work to reform our Public School System and create the necessary opportunities for our children to follow their passions and interests, build on their talents and capabilities, and achieve their careers and further aspirations."
