Premier David Burt, JP, MP, together with his wife Kristin Burt, marked the start of the new school year with visits to Dellwood Middle School and Northlands Primary School.
Premier Burt said: “Like many parents across Bermuda, I felt both pride and excitement today as my daughter Nia began her first day at Dellwood Middle School and my son Edward continued at Northlands Primary. Days like today remind me why our work in transforming the public education system is important. Every child deserves to start the school year with opportunity, support and the best possible environment for learning.
“As a Government, we remain committed to ensuring that students, teachers, school counsellors and parents have the resources, facilities and support needed for student success.”
The Premier greeted students and staff at both schools, offering encouragement and best wishes for a successful year ahead.
