DPT to Provide Temporary KEMH Bus Service

The Ministry of Tourism and Transport and the Department of Public Transportation (DPT) advises the public that effective Sunday, 29 March 2020, the DPT will provide a daily bus service for Bermuda Hospital Board (BHB) employees commuting to and from the King Edward Memorial Hospital.

This temporary schedule, created to support our BHB healthcare workers, will service routes 1, 3, 6, 7, 8 & 11, and operate until the Public Bus Service resumes normal operations.

As a reminder, the health and safety of DPT employees and passengers is of the utmost importance. As such, the public is advised that the KEMH Bus Service will be limited to employees displaying BHB ID only.

Furthermore, soldiers will be validating all passengers as well as enforcing social distancing and onboard hygiene.

The Ministry of Tourism and Transport and Department of Public Transportation take this opportunity to thank all DPT employees for their commitment and flexibility as we rally in support of our community and navigate this challenge, together.

We also thank the community for their patience and cooperation as we work to ensure that those persons at the forefront of stopping the spread of COVID-19 in Bermuda can continue providing this essential service for all.

The BHB bus schedule will be available to download at https://bermudahospitals.bm/.
