The Department of Education is fully aware of the teacher shortage at Whitney Institute Middle School, which has resulted in today’s early dismissal of students.
The Department of Education is addressing this matter with the Principal, the Whitney Institute School Board, and the Bermuda Union of Teachers (BUT) to resolve the staffing challenges swiftly.
We sincerely apologise to parents, guardians, and students for the inconvenience caused by this unexpected closure.
