Changes to Public Health Regulations

At Tuesday’s Covid press conference, and in light of the current regulations expiring this weekend, changes to the public health regulations were announced. It is correct that the hours for liquor licensed establishments will be extended from 12 midnight to 2 am by the new regulations which were made yesterday and subsequently gazetted. For clarity, these changes come into force on Sunday morning at 6:01 am, and as such liquor licensed establishments can stay open until 2:00am from Sunday night, 27 September 2020.

Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley noted: “There have been several changes over the various phases and occasionally there is some misunderstanding around what is in force and when. The Bermuda Police Service will continue to work with bar owners to promote compliance with the law and assist in ensuring the safety of patrons of these establishments.”
