Canadian Visa Biometric Collection Taking Place in June

Social Media Biometrics

The Ministry of Economy and Labour is pleased to advise of an upcoming biometric collection session for Bermudians seeking Canadian Visas.

Specific identification criteria are mandatory for some individuals applying for a Canadian visitor visa, work or study permit, or permanent residency in Canada. It is also compulsory for all international students, including Bermudian students.

Due to the ongoing partnership with the Consulate General of Canada, biometric collection will take place in Bermuda on June 19th and 20th.

The Minister of Economy and Labour, the Hon. Jason Hayward, said, “This is an excellent opportunity for Bermuda’s residents who have already applied online or by mail for a visa, work, or study permit, or for permanent residence anticipating travel to Canada to have their biometrics collected. Not only is it convenient to do this in your country of residence, but it also avoids the expense of travelling overseas. And so, I thank the Consulate General of Canada for their ongoing commitment to offering this service, which has and will continue to benefit many. I encourage all who are eligible to take advantage of the opportunity."
