The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of two upcoming traffic disruptions on Palmetto Road in Pembroke Parish due to infrastructure works associated with the Glebe Road Bridge.

a single lane closure will be implemented along Palmetto Road beneath the Glebe Road Bridge starting Monday, 14 July through to Friday, 15 August 2025.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of two upcoming traffic disruptions on Palmetto Road in Pembroke Parish due to infrastructure works associated with the Glebe Road Bridge.

A full road closure will take place on Palmetto Road from 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, 12 July, until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, 13 July 2025.

This closure is necessary to accommodate the erection of scaffolding underneath the Glebe Road Bridge.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that a single-lane closure will be on North Shore Road, westbound, from Shelly Bay Marketplace to Radnor Road, Hamilton Parish. 

This lane closure is necessary to allow Island Construction Ltd. to undertake trench works to install a water line.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Bermuda Bicycle Association Criterium Road Race will take place on Sunday, 14 July 2024, between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 am.

Ministry of Public Works advises that the Bermuda Bicycle Association will hold a road race on Sunday, July 7, starting at 8:00 am from the Prospect Police Headquarters on Fort Hill in Devonshire. 

Passage across several roads, including Middle  Road, North Shore and Frog Lane, will be affected during this time. 

The race is expected to finish by 10:30 am, and race marshals and Bermuda Police Service will control the route. 

The Ministry of Public Works advises that as of Saturday, 6 July, through Sunday, 11 August, there will be a single-lane closure on the South Road westbound lane starting from the Paget traffic light to allow for demolition and reconstruction of a wall section along the sidewalk. 

Traffic delays can be expected due to the traffic control measures. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use extra caution in the area. 

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to update the public about the ongoing paving work on South Road near the Collector's Hill junction in Smith's Parish.

On Wednesday, 26 June, paving operations stopped due to a malfunction of the Ministry's paver.
