Overview

What counts as pollution?

Air pollution includes fumes or odours from sources such as:

  1. Equipment or facilities that emit exhaust, fumes or odours
  2. Open burning of any materials
  3. Sewage treatment plants
  4. Electrical generators
  5. Spray paint facilities
  6. Sand sifters
  7. Rock crushers

Water pollution includes contamination of groundwater, ponds or seawater from any source, including fuel tanks, boats and ships.
