The Office of Youth Affairs, under the Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, encourages young people, youth-serving organisations, and community members to take advantage of three funding opportunities for the 2026–2027 financial year: Youth Grants, Youth Investments, and Youth Event Sponsorships.
Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, the Hon. Tinee Furbert, JP, MP, said, “We are pleased to once again offer the grants to strengthen Bermuda’s youth development landscape by investing in young people, supporting organisations that serve Bermuda’s youth, and helping bring meaningful youth-focused events and initiatives to life. We encourage the communities and organisations providing valuable services and events for our youth to apply.”
Youth Development Grants
Youth Development Grants provide funding to qualifying organisations that deliver support, programmes and assistance to Bermuda’s young people. Eligible organisations are expected to demonstrate sound governance and youth-development practices, including registered charity status, available audited statements, safeguarding and vulnerable persons policies, a strength-based approach to youth development, and alignment with the goals, objectives and strategic functions of the Office of Youth Affairs.
Youth Investments
Youth Investments are designed specifically to support young people between the ages of 14 and 24 who wish to pursue their recreational passions and developmental opportunities in Bermuda or overseas.
Opportunities may include areas such as art, oration, culinary arts, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Applicants are required to provide information about their proposed experience, including a course outline, application and/or acceptance documentation, and references from instructors, coaches or mentors within their field of interest.
Youth Event Sponsorship
Youth Event Sponsorships are available to individuals and organisations hosting events that align with or support the goals of Bermuda’s National Youth Policy.
Applications should include a completed application form, detailed budget breakdown, comprehensive event plan and measurable outcomes, helping to ensure supported events have a clear and meaningful impact on Bermuda’s young people.
Amplifying Youth Voices and Opportunities
The Office of Youth Affairs encourages young people, youth organisations and community members to consider how these opportunities can support their ideas, programmes, passions and events.
Investing in youth development is an investment in Bermuda’s future. Through these funding opportunities, the Office seeks to amplify youth voices, expand opportunities and create the conditions for youth development to flourish throughout our community.
