The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises that, due to the Cup Match holiday on Thursday, 30 July and Friday, 31 July 2026, household waste normally collected on those days will instead be collected on Saturday, 1 August 2026.
The Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off will be open from 9 a.m. to noon during both days (Emancipation Day and Mary Prince Day) to receive household waste, recycling and bulky items.
Regular operating hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will resume on Saturday, 1 August.
