Due to the changing COVID-19 situation in Bermuda, as of 5am on April 13th 2021 there are updated restrictions, which are summarised below:
Bermuda is presently under a 7-day Stay at Home Order.
During this period only permitted businesses are allowed to operate between the hours of 7am and 7pm. Those permitted businesses are:
- Grocery stores
- Pharmacies
- Banks (limited services)
- Gas stations
- Offices of registered health professionals, clinics, hospital or other health facilities (including veterinary surgeries).
Additionally, grocery shopping will return to alphabetized days of shopping by surname (as outlined below).

Mixing households is prohibited.
Grocery Stores and Gas Stations
Grocery stores and gas stations must operate with no more than 20% capacity.

Gyms, Exercise Facilities, Health Clubs, and Dance Studios
All indoor gyms, exercise facilities, health clubs and dance studios are closed.
When permitted to open, all gym employees must wear a mask while at work and physical distancing must be maintained. Patrons must maintain a 10 ft physical distance.
Events and Gatherings
Mixing households is prohibited.

In order to hold an event or gathering larger than the permitted maximum, an exemption from the Minister of National Security is required. The form that must be completed in order to apply for an exemption is included within this guidance.
Movie Theatres, Museums, Libraries and similar public venues
Indoor movie theatres, museums and all other indoor public recreation venues, are closed.
The Ministry of Health has published minimal guidance for all movie theatres and similar venues (when permitted to open). Venues may adopt additional protocols consistent with their specific needs and circumstances to help protect the health and safety of all employees and customers.
Bars and Nightclubs
Bars and nightclubs are closed.

Travel
Commercial airlines may return to Bermuda, but there are specific testing requirements to replace the requirement to quarantine for 14 days.
Both visitors and residents must apply for a Travel Authorisation Form, 48 hours before departing for Bermuda.
All travellers to Bermuda who are arriving from the United Kingdom or who have visited the United Kingdom in the 14 days before they arrive in Bermuda must quarantine in their accommodation for four days. They may only be released from quarantine after the receiving a negative result from the Day 4 COVID-19 test all travellers to the island must take.
