State of the Tourism Industry Conference, Guyana

The Hon Owen K Darrell, JP MP, Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport represented Bermuda at the Caribbean Tourism Organization's (CTO) State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC) 2026. Thiesyear's theme was "Tourism Futures: Smart, Sustainable, and Inclusive."

Minister Darrell attended the Youth Tourism Debate on Thursday, 8 October. The event gives young people from across the region an opportunity to discuss the future of Caribbean Tourism. Christopher Madeiros, winner of the 2026 Bermuda Youth Tourism Speech Competition, represented Bermuda at the Youth Congress and participated in the debate.

The Minister was accompanied by members of the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
