What do they do?

Court Services runs and maintains the following services:

Provides programmes and services to reduce recidivism and at risk behaviors in clients during community supervision.
Enhances its strategic, operational and administrative framework to promote greater protection for the community.
Outlines the framework for programme evaluation for implementation in 2024.
Works with partners to fully implement the Offender Risk Management Team for sexual and violent offenders.
Initiates therapeutic intervention with offenders significant partners/family to reduce and enhance their ability to function and thrive Assessment and Treatment.

Magistrates Complete International Training Course

Announcement of New Director of Public Prosecutions

The Governor, John Rankin CMG, has announced that Ms Cindy Clarke will be appointed as Bermuda’s Director of Public Prosecutions with effect from Friday, 4 December 2020. The Governor said, “I am pleased to appoint Cindy Clarke as Bermuda’s next Director of Public Prosecutions. She will bring to the position a wealth of experience, including as Crown Counsel since 2000 and as Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions since 2011. I wish Ms Clarke well in her new role.”
