Little Listeners

Investing in early childhood means investing in Bermudaโ€™s future. ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒฑ

The Department of Health, in partnership with the Department of Libraries and Archives, is supporting Little Listeners, a FREE interactive story time programme designed for children ages 2โ€“4 and their caregivers.

Beginning in June 2026, Little Listeners will take place on the first Tuesday of every month, creating a welcoming space where young children can experience storytelling, music, playful interaction and meaningful social connection.

Hosted by Deana Roberts, Health Visitor, the programme highlights how simple, engaging experiences can support childrenโ€™s early development while strengthening caregiver-child connection.

Reading, talking, singing and playing together can create valuable opportunities for children to develop communication, social and emotional skills, curiosity and a positive relationship with learning.

Little Listeners also reflects the importance of cross-sector collaboration. When health, libraries, families and community services work together, we can create stronger environments for children to grow, learn and thrive.

We encourage families and community partners to help spread the word and support opportunities that place early childhood development and family wellbeing at the heart of a healthier Bermuda.
