National Electricity Sector Policy 2026

The National Electricity Sector Policy 2026 (NESP 2026) sets the Government of Bermuda's policy direction for the electricity sector through 2045. Prepared by the Ministry of Home Affairs, it replaces the aspirational renewable energy targets of the National Electricity Sector Policy 2015 (NESP 2015) with a technology-neutral, least-cost approach centred on affordability, reliability, and equity, while continuing to reduce Bermuda's dependence on imported fossil fuels.
