Meetings with New Congress and Committee Chairs

The Premier traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with members of the 116th United States Congress and had the opportunity to meet with Rep. Richard Neal, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee in addition to hosting a breakfast for members of Congress to inform and update on issues pertaining to Bermuda.

 

In addition the Premier also met individually with:

 

  • Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina
  • Rep. Karen Bass for California’s 37th Congressional District and Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus
  • Rep. G.K. Butterfield for North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, former Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and also has roots in Bermuda
  • Rep. Al Lawson for Florida’s 5th Congressional District
  • Rep. Lacy Clay for Missouri’s 1st Congressional District
  • Rep. George Holding for North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District
  • Rep. Emanuel Cleaver for Missouri’s 5th Congressional District
