Road restrictions advisory - Jan. 18 - 20

As the public is aware, Bermuda Marathon Weekend events get underway tomorrow (18 January), and the Ministry of Public Works is reminding of the road restrictions/closures that will be in place tomorrow through 20, January.

The public is encouraged to plan ahead to avoid traffic delays.

Tomorrow, 18, January 2019: Front Street Mile from 6.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m., the following road closures will be in effect:

  • Starting at Crow Lane from the junction of Spurling Hill to the City of Hamilton’s eastern boundary on Front Street. All westbound traffic will be diverted off Crow Lane up Spurling Hill and along Reid Street.

Saturday 19, January 2019: 10 K Race and Charity Walk from 8.45 a.m. – 11.30 a.m., road restrictions/closures include:

  • Middle road (from Corkscrew Hill to Flatts near Harrington Sound Road junction), north shore road (middle road, Flatts to Barkers Hill), Parsons Road, Montpelier Road,

Roberts Avenue, Frog Lane, Old Military Road and Gymnasium Road.

Sunday 20, January 2019: Marathon and Half Marathon from 7.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m., road restrictions will be in place in the following areas:

  • Front Street, Hamilton, Crow Lane, Trimingham Road, South Road, Devils Hole Hill, Harrington Sound Road, Middle Road, Flatts Village, North Shore Road, Spanish Point Road, St. John’s Road, Pitts Bay Road and City of Hamilton.
