The Transport Control Department (TCD) is pleased to announce that the Commercial Vehicle Permit  (CVP) application is now accessible online at forms.gov.bm.  The online application for the CVP is the most recent addition to the services available on forms.gov.bm.

The Commercial Vehicle Permit (CVP) is required for individuals and businesses seeking authorisation to purchase or import a commercial vehicle, including heavy, intermediate, or light trucks, community service vehicles, and trailers, to support the operation of an established business. The digital application process also accommodates the issuance of Sunday Permits for commercial vehicles. The introduction of the online CVP application not only eliminates the need for applicants to visit the TCD to collect and submit physical forms but also values their time by removing unnecessary requirements, such as the submission of a client list.

Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Hon. Owen Darrell, JP, MP, said, “Digitising the CVP application delivers significant benefits for both applicants and TCD staff. Businesses that rely on the transport of goods, tools, or materials as part of their daily operations will benefit from a more convenient and transparent application process. This initiative reflects the Government’s broader commitment to improving service delivery through innovation and digital transformation.”

Minister Darrell added, “As I announced in March, the Transport Control Department started rolling out its digital applications, marking a significant step towards reducing red tape and enhancing the efficiency of our services. As we move forward, we will continue to evaluate the needs of the public and explore opportunities to digitise additional services.”

Since March 2025, the Transport Control Department has been diligently working to digitise its services, ensuring we not only keep pace with change but also lead with innovation and efficiency.  TCD has made the following applications available online at forms.gov.bm:
