"Gold Bermudians" Film Series

Tomorrow evening (March 31), at 7.00 p.m., the Department of Culture will launch its latest documentary series, “Gold Bermudians” (see flyer attached).

Taking place at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI), these short films highlight the accomplishments of Bermudians who have performed extraordinarily well on the international stage.

Tomorrow’s showcase will feature the stories of:

  • Earl Cameron - Film by Antoine Hunt and Amy Murray
  • Michael Frith - Film by Kyle Simmons
  • Lance Hayward - Film by Milton Repose of Method Media
  • Clarence Hill - Film by Marq Rodriguez; and
  • Katura Horton-Perinchief - Film by Dion the Creative

A Government spokesperson said, “Gold Bermudians chronicle some of the island’s most recognizable and accomplished individuals. Each series was written and produced by a different filmmaker, who was asked to capture their Gold Bermudian using their own brand of cinematic storytelling. Knowing about their accomplishments will serve as inspiration for younger and older Bermudians alike, and reminder the community about the many ways Bermudians consistently continue to punch above our weight.”

Tomorrow’s event is free to the public, and there are still some spaces available. Visit https://bit.ly/GoldBermudians to register. For more info, 292-1681 or email cghay@gov.bm.
