Premier addresses RIMS 2017 Conference and Exhibition

Premier Michael Dunkley, Bermuda

The Cabinet Office is advising that the Premier, the Hon. Michael H. Dunkley, JP, MP, is currently in Philadelphia participating in the annual RIMS 2017 Conference & Exhibition.

The Premier is leading a Bermuda delegation which includes, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. E.T Richards, the Minister of Economic Development, Dr. Grant Gibbons and industry professionals from the Bermuda Development Agency, the Bermuda Monetary Authority and other business organisations.

The conference which attracts several thousand business industry attendees annually is taking place from April 23-26.

Earlier today as part of the new Executive Leadership Track debuting at RIMS, the Premier the made an official presentation at the conference titled, "Small Wonder: Bermuda's Super-Sized Impact on the World of Risk." This is the first time that Bermuda Premier has addressed RIMS attendees at such a forum.

Premier Dunkley's presentation offered insight into Bermuda's historical links with the US; shared the unique challenges Bermuda must navigate as a financial centre; and detailed how Bermuda has managed to forge one of the world's most important property-casualty markets.

Also while in Philadelphia, the Premier will participate in extensive media engagement, visit Temple University, conduct the RIMS Exhibition tour, and host the traditional Bermuda Reception.
