Register to become a provider for home care services

All providers must be registered with Ageing and Disability Services (ADS) first, and then with the Health Insurance Department (HID). Registered providers can only receive payment for services covered by the policyholder’s Personal Home Care benefit.

How to Register

Registration is a two-step process:

  • Ageing and Disability Services Registration
  • Day Care Providers must be registered as a Residential Care Home or Nursing Home.
  • Home Care Agencies and Self Employed Care Providers must complete the application form.

All home care providers who work for a home care agency must register with ADS, but most agencies register their employees on their behalf. Check with your agency.  If the Home Care Agency is to be paid directly by the benefit, then it is the agency that must register with HID not the individual provider.
