Guidance for Island Boats ‘Hire & Reward’

Updated November 29, 2021

There is no curfew in effect and the below guidance must be followed.

Key Points

  • Boats are permitted to operate at reduced ‘COVID-19’ capacity as advised by the Department of Marine & Ports.
  • The owner or operator of an Island boat that is to accommodate more than 50 people must ensure that each person permitted on the boat has a valid SafeKey or Bermuda issued vaccine certificate and present it for verification to the appropriate official on the boat.
  • For hire and reward customers there may be some pre-screening; including temperature taking and a questionnaire to collect contact information on each person for contact tracing record keeping. - (Note that although temperature taking is optional, collecting contact information for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes is mandatory).
