Emissions
- Myth Charging a ZEV from electricity on the grid produces the same amount of emissions as driving a petrol or diesel-powered vehicle.
- While it’s true that the electricity that powers an EV comes in part from fossil fuels, EVs still produce 40% fewer emissions than petrol-powered vehicles due to being more efficient. As more renewable energy is added to the grid, emission reductions will only improve.
Vehicle Availability
- Myth There’s very few zero-emission versions of the vehicle I need or want.

- Evidence has shown that the average Bermudian can save on their monthly fuel bill by switching to an EV. It is estimated that the typical EV in Bermuda will cost about $0.10/km to charge.
