The Bermuda Department of Tourism is responsible for the coordination of the efforts of promotion, sales and product development and to encourage and foster tourism in Bermuda. The head office works with our partners to develop the product (Bermuda) and ancillary services through various promotional and other tourist-related information through the inspection and licensing of hotels.
It also supervises the overseas sales activity through the overseas offices.
The Department will continue with delivery and service levels for several established programmes, and for proposed new programmes, which are consistent with Department policy. The strategic objective of the Department of Tourism is to attract a stable and carefully targeted winter/summer mix of high-end visitors per year. The travel industry is changing rapidly and radically.
Much of these changes are driven by a more mature, experienced and demanding consumer. Now, more than ever, it is essential that our marketing, advertising and product development teams obtain the knowledge and in-depth analysis of what travelers truly desire.
